The European Blackball Association (EBA) will host the World Blackball Championships on behalf of Blackball International between the 28 Octoberand the 4 November 2012. The proposed competition will have a number of different events with countries allowed to enter one team per event. This is an “A Team” International event.
The competition will be held in the Norbreck Castle Hotel , Queens Promenade, Blackpool, Lancashire, England. A full schedule of the event has yet to be finalised and will be published on the site when available. This is expected to be after the 30 July.
Travel arrangements and costs are the responsibility of the Country or National Federation / Association. The closest International Airport is Manchester Airport, however, Liverpool Airport would be closer for neighbouring nations. Some countries will require visas for their players and may require an official invite. Applications for an official invite to satisfy VISA requirements should be emailed to Martin Kirwan at email@example.com. The application should contain copies of booking confirmations for Hotel plus all travel documents. 30 June is the latest date for receipt.
It is expected all teams and supporters will be accommodated at the Norbreck Castle Hotel . It is necessary that the total amount of players and supporters staying at the Hotel should be submitted to Margaret Lopez firstname.lastname@example.org and Linda Kirwan email@example.com before the 30 July. These should include the submission of all team member forms. It is important that all accommodation is paid for prior to the start of the tournament. When booking the hotel please use the reference code Blackball International.
Application forms to be completed by the appropiate Pool Associations are now available under the menu item "Downloads." A poster for the event is also available for download.
European Blackball Association (EBA) Nations Cup 2012 will be run exclusively for “B” internationals and players under 23 and 18. The competition will have five categories with countries allowed to enter a maximum of two teams in each category.

> Ladie's B 7 person's team
> Seniors B, 5 persons team
> Under 23, 5 persons team
> Under 18, 5 persons team
The Competition will be held in the Carton Hotel Blanchardstown Dublin between Saturday 13 October and Friday the 19 October. A full schedule of the event has yet to be finalised and will be published on this site when available.
The opening ceremony for the Under 23 and Under 18 will be on Saturday 13 October at 10:00 and the closing ceremony will be on Monday 15 October at 15:00.
The opening ceremony for the Ladies B, Men’s B and Seniors B will be on Monday 15 October at 17:00 and the closing ceremony will be on Friday 19 October at 16:00.
Applications to compete in the tournament will be sent out to the various governing bodies before the end of July. It is essential these applications are returned as soon as possible so the schedule of events can be finalised and made available to all. There is a £15 administration fee for each player competing and a £10 entry fee for each player participating in the Individual Competitions. There is no entry fee for teams competing in the tournament.
If you are considering staying at the venue you need to call and quote the booking reference 552455. This will ensure you get one of the reserved rooms for the EBA and the preferential rate agreed with the hotel. Bookings can be made via the web site but you cannot be guaranteed getting the same preferential rate, and the room booked will not come from the reserved allocation. The costs negotiated are €35 for bed & breakfast per person sharing, based on two individuals sharing a room. A single room supplement will be charged otherwise. The check-in time for the hotel is 15:00 and the check-out time is 12:00.
